Frequently asked

Can I use it without an API key?
All the data features work, using sources that need no key by default. The AI features need a model and will prompt you to configure one.
What are the free tier's limits?
7 of the 9 masters (Market Leader and Trading Pattern are VIP); 3 roundtables a day; 60 trading days of history; no decision archive, copy/export, custom rules or financial data.
Does anything get sent to a server?
Market data and results stay on your machine. Only when you ask a question does the text go to the model provider you configured. Signing in to your account requires one online check.
Anything to watch out for when installing?
Don't install into Program Files — data is written to data\ inside the install directory. Something like D:\71QuantLab is better.
My antivirus flags the installer
It isn't code-signed yet, so this is a false positive. Allow-list it.
